Since L&J had waited quite a while for marriage…they decided if they were going to take this leap, then they were going to do it BIG! They knew they wanted a destination wedding, but not any destination would do…after some work in considering options that would work for them and their guests, it was determined that Rome, Italy would be the winner.
Due to the difficult paper work needing to be done for a legal ceremony in Italy, the help of Gabriella was enlisted to manage many of the details locally. I helped L&J plan travel for them and their guests, and arranged an awesome pizza making class as a group activity for the day before their wedding festivities began.
A welcome cocktail reception was held at the St. Regis Rome, and on September 2, 2011 – L&J got married…their ceremony was at the Villa Lais, and reception hosted at Hassler Hotel, with a spectacular rooftop view of Rome!

I love that L&J took the leap to find a destination that suited them – no all-inclusive resort, just a Rome destination wedding that perfectly reflected their love of good food, good wine and lots of history! It was a pleasure to help them plan a perfect trip for them and their guests!
“Hey Jolyn! Hope all is well with you! We’re back, we’re hitched, and all was wonderful. Yes, it was a perfect day, pretty much…All of the legal stuff was handled, basically we didn’t even see any of that. Shuttling everyone around went very smoothly. The venues were all great. The little town hall was very intimate and interesting. The dinner was out of this world. The view from that balcony was beyond description, and the food was outstanding. Which I am so pleased about. Best meal we had in Italy. It was VERY HOT, that was the only downside….And we couldn’t have made this work without you either, Jolyn. I came to rely on you so much, and really valued your opinions/advice.”
